Creative Development Studio, LLC and the Actor’s Co-Op Group, have come together once again to bring you this special “cold reading” television workshop for young actors. This time we have BRIDGETTE GLOVER WHITE from ABC FAMILY!!
Bridgette is from the Network side of casting meaning, unlike the independent casting directors who work on each show separately, her office oversees casting for all the shows on that network. Bridgette not only recommends actors to be seen by the independent casting directors but also, the NETWORK gets final casting approval over the show's producers. Here's your chance to learn how things work on the network end and have an opportunity to read for Bridgette.
Their big shows right now are "The Secret Life of the American Teenager" and "10 Things I Hate About You." ABC Family's other shows include "Lincoln Heights," "Roommates," and "Greek."
FORMAT: Bridgette's class will be a cold-reading INTENSIVE for pre-teens to early 20s who still play high school age. If you are younger than "pre-teen" you MUST have solid reading skills as scenes will be provided by Bridgette the day of the class and you will only have 15-20 minutes to work on them. We will begin with a Q&A and then Bridgette will hand out the scenes.
After you do your scenes she will most likely give adjustments or re-direct the scenes. NOTE: During the Q&A – No questions of a personal nature. This is a very professional atmosphere and everyone should act accordingly. Questions should be in relation to how her office works, the shows she oversees and their shooting schedules, etc.

BRIDGETTE GLOVER WHITE Prior to working for ABC Family Bridgette worked on the UPN show "ALL OF US." Her feature film credits include "Cheaper By the Dozen 2," "Garfield: A Tale of Two Kitties," "Beverly Hills Chihuahua," and most recently Disney's "The Proposal" starring Sandra Bullock and, currently in production, "Green Zone" starring Matt Damon for Universal Pictures.

Music Theatre Master Class, Carlsbad, CA
Sunday, March 29th, 2009 11am – 2pm
Master class will be focused on connecting to your musical theatre material, using your lyrics to tell a story and dictate your musical phrasing, and maintaining consistency and strength from your first audition to the final call back. This is a good class to help you prepare for the LA Workshop with Casting Director, Michael Donovan, on April 18th. Please bring your book and, if possible, a recording device to record the session! Bring your best audition material and be prepared to have something random pulled out of your book. If it’s in there you better know it!

Stephanie Fredricks, in association with Molly Bearor and the ACTOR’S CO-OP GROUP, are holding a special audition workshop for the under 20 set! Work with Casting Directors Howard Meltzer (partner Goldwasser/Meltzer Casting) from “Hannah Montana”, and Jenny Treadwell (Krisha Bullock Casting), top Associate on “iCarly”!
FORMAT: We will begin with an introduction from the guest Casting Directors then go directly into the scenes. Scenes will be provided by the casting directors IN ADVANCE and sent to the workshop attendees via email or fax. Scenes will be read one-on-one with a reader (either Molly or Stephanie), with notes/re-direct given by the CD’s. After everyone has completed their scene work there will be a Q&A with the casting folks. NOTE: No questions of a personal nature. This is a very professional atmosphere and everyone should act accordingly. Questions should be in relation to how their casting offices work, shooting schedules of their shows, and what other projects they might be working on.

Howard Meltzer cast a ton of theatre in New York before moving to LA. In addition to casting the Disney Channel series Hannah Montana, Howard is currently casting the pilot I’m with the Band. His office is also working on The Untitled Scott Fellows Project, for Nickelodeon, and Spectacular!, a Nickelodeon musical feature! Goldwasser / Meltzer did the pilot for American Dad, and developed a comedy Improv project for NBC. Howard will meet unrepresented talent, and since many of the projects he casts are AFTRA, union status doesn't matter! This office casts several pilots per year.
Jenny Treadwell is Krisha Bullock’s right hand, and they cast most of the Nickelodeon shows. They're currently working on the ‘tween hit, iCarly, which has already been signed on for two full seasons! Jenny is one of the nicest casting associates you'll meet! All Nickelodeon shows are AFTRA! Jenny used to help Krisha cast Zoey 101, as well. Their office does several pilots per year, mainly for Nickelodeon.
